During our course, we have been asked to consider why it is that we use ICT to teach our students. In my opinion, it is essential that we utilise this resource if we want to ensure that our students are provided with a well-rounded education. ICTs are an excellent way to engage students in new topics, or to extend their knowledge of topics that they have already encountered. Additionally, ICT is a great tool to aid differentiated learning in the classroom. As a future Special Education teacher, I consider ICTs to be particularly important. I’m sure that as I go through this course I’ll find even more reasons to teach with ICT.
